Jessica Etienne serves as the 2017-2018 Regional Chair of the Southern Region for the National Black Law Students Association (SRBLSA).
Southern Regional Chair Etienne is a native of Lake Worth, Florida. She graduated from Bethune-Cookman University in Daytona Beach, Florida, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration/Marketing. While at Bethune Cookman, she was the Vice President of the American Marketing Association, Treasurer of Rotaract, a member of the Fredrick Douglas Debate team and a Student member of the International Toastmasters. Afterwards Etienne went on to receive her Master of Science in Finance from Florida International University.
She is currently a third-year student at the Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law (Barry Law), in Orlando, where she serves as President of the Barry Law Black Law Student Association chapter for the 2017-2018 school year. Southern Regional Chair Etienne is also a Florida Bar Governor, the Managing Editor of the Barry Law Child and Family Law Journal, Advocating member of Barry Law Trial Team, President of Christian Legal Society, and Probono Ambassador for Barry Law. Prior to joining the National Black Law Students Association’s National Executive Board, Southern Regional Chair Etienne served as Regional Treasurer for SRBLSA and Financial Specialist to the National Treasurer on the National Executive Board.
In addition to her organizational leadership, Southern Regional Chair Etienne has worked as a Certified Legal Intern for Barry Law Juvenile Defense Clinic, Summer Associate for Seibane Business Law Firm and Summer Clerkship with Florida Rural Legal Services.
Jessica enjoys singing, cooking, traveling, and giving back to the community.
