Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia
Roderick Thompson is a Staff Attorney at the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia. Roderick is a Trial Lawyer on the Serious Felony calendar where he represents indigent clients charged with various offenses in DC Superior Court. Roderick received his Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Howard University in Washington, DC. While at Howard, Roderick was a member of the Howard University Swimming and Diving Team.
Prior to law school, Roderick worked in the field of management consulting at Accenture, LLP. Roderick received his law degree from Widener University School of Law in Wilmington, Delaware. While at Widener, Roderick was the president of the Black Law Students Association, participated in the Criminal Defense Clinic and served as captain of the Mock Trial Team.
Roderick was born and raised in the South End of Seattle, Washington. He currently lives in Upper Marlboro, MD with his wife of thirteen years and their two children: 10 year old Isabella and 9 year old Luke.
