Assistant General Counsel, Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. (Bentonville, Arkansas)
Sam is an Assistant General Counsel for Walmart Stores, Inc. in its Employment Division and is responsible for all of the company’s wage and hour counseling and litigation. In his role, he provides advice to executive leadership, corporate human resources and field management and also manages all of the company’s wage and hour, compensation, and payroll related claims as well as all single plaintiff related litigation. In addition, he provides support for corporate human resources initiatives and programs and assists in the implementation of policies and practices designed to improve associate experiences and ensure legal compliance. Prior to joining Walmart, Sam was Sr. Employment Counsel at Ricoh Americas Corp. and an Employment Litigation Associate at WolfBlock, LLP in Philadelphia, PA.
Sam is a graduate of the University of Tulsa and Temple University, Beasley School of Law. He is active in multiple community organizations including Alpha Phi, Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and Big Brothers Big Sisters of America and for more than 10 years, he has volunteered his time to teach free LSAT classes through the Law School Admission Council, DiscoverLaw.Org, AlphaEsq and at universities and law schools across the country.
