Ms. Overton is a second-year law student at Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School. She serves as a student coordinator and academic peer advisor for the Office of Student Affairs and Pro Bono Programs. She is the Vice President of Black Law Students Association, a student representative for Lexis Nexis, and a peer mentor. She is the recipient of the CALI Excellence Award for Torts II which recognizes the student with the highest grade in the course. She wants to practice international human rights and immigration law.
Ms. Overton graduated from Longwood University in 2017 with two bachelors of science, one in psychology and one in criminal justice. She has served as a youth advocate for Friends of Refugees, a volunteer teaching assistant through AJMLS Street Law Program, and taught English to detained immigrants.
